These two papers fall, in my opinion, under ethics, as they both relate to reading research studies accurately. If we all had data literacy, bunk articles like "cheese sandwiches increase brain power" would not be a source of misinformation. In addition, because data literacy is not really taught at the elementary levels, these articles, while they might be well-intentioned, they serve to spread misinformation like wildfire. Because of the misinformation aspect, data literacy falls under ethics.
In this journal activity from Psychology and Social Change, I described personal and social factors that guide my ethical decision-making in choosing to support a cause. In addition, I explored ways to increase cognitive consonance and decrease cognitive dissonance to realign my ideas and actions.
